Windows Vista Service Pack 2
Ugh. Tried to install service pack 2 and my computer blue screened in the middle of it. Even the system restore didn’t recover it fully. Vista is bad enough on its own, but this computer of mine was the biggest $1200 mistake I’ve made in a long time. We have five Dell systems and they have been wonderful. So I get the new smaller version of the Dell XPS Laptop, the Dell Studio XPS 13. STAY FAR AWAY. Nothing works, and it is put together so badly that it ruins its own hardware. I actually spend 20 hours with Dell Customer Service and 20 TRANSFERS before someone finally said that he wasn’t the right person to help but he would, anyway. He replaced the computer and said that they wouldn’t cover the new one under warranty. At least this one hasn’t melted itself yet, and I have no choice but to make it work until I get my Twitter Rocket to take off!
