Week Off11.12.09

I’m taking the week off of Twitter, but my followers continue to grow.  I’ve had to spend some time figuring out CSS and other website issues, not to mention more problems with Twitterfeed.  With the Genesis Rocket course, my accounts have mostly targeted followers, so they seem to automatically find more as time goes by.  This is time well spent; once I pin down the problems with my RSS feeds, I should get reasonable results from my Genesis Rocket marketing.

Adsense PSA and robots.txt11.10.09

Found out why Google Adsense wasn’t working.  It was for awhile, but then all I got was public service ads.  It turns out that a file called robots.txt has a switch in it to tell Google not to work with your site.

The problem is, I didn’t have that text file ANYWHERE on my site.

So I created a robots.txt file that says Google isn’t blocked and uploaded it to all my root directories.  Hopefully they get the idea that it is okay for me to advertise for them!

Unfortunately, I figured this out right after their bot crawled and said BLOCKED.  So I will likely have to wait another week for the ads to show up again.  (UPDATE:  Less than 24 hours later and the ads are back.  I think someone is watching out for me!)

Here is the file in case someone else needs it; apparently it is a common issue.

Week 5 Results11.09.09

Results for this week (11/2/09 – 11/8/09):

Total Twitter follwers: 9422

Website: $2.70

Genesis Rocket hits:
Hits 3513 Unique 611

My website earnings are down due to a lack of new posts, problems with RSS feeds, and problems with Adsense.  I can’t earn very well if my links don’t go out half of the week!  Some technical trouble at home, too, but that is the beauty of working at home; problems don’t have to completely keep me away from work.  I did get my Genesis Rocket stuff done, so the network was built for another week regardless of the marketing issues.  At least I know the hits are there when I can provide quality content.

That aside – nearly 10,000 followers!  And those are mostly targeted, and not a big pile of zombie accounts.   When the numbers hit, they are gonna hit big.

Genesis Rocket hits:
Hits 2311 Unique 420

Followers and hits are double of last week!  Genesis Rocket really works.  It really is all about the numbers:  Get enough hits, and the sales will come. (It helps as I learn to properly monetize, too.)

Genesis Rocket is a fantastic product and method; there are just too many scams going around and people are wary, I guess.  Just look at the websites; there is no comparison.  The Genesis Rocket site gets straight to the point in a well-written article; no flashing headlines, no bright colors, no hyperactive sales pitch.  The scam products are all flashy and seem to look like your typical marketing site spread along five feet of advertising and testimonials and never really get to what the product is really about.  You don’t need promises of never having to work!  You don’t need a set of videos!  You need an easy, step-by-step method that you can implement in a short period of time each day.

Throw out all of the other junk.  Genesis Rocket is it.

Looking Forward to my Workday10.30.09

Milk and OreosAhh, a glass of cold milk, a handful of Oreos, my laptop, and the baby monitor all snuggled next to me in my bed with lots of fluffy pillows and soft blankets.  Yep, it is time for my workday!  And Fridays are always fun, with Follow Fridays on Twitter.  A nice and relaxing Friday at work for a couple of hours.  Meanwhile, my husband is out shopping for a new car!
