This evening I spent working on my blogs, since I discovered clicking on a tag/keyword only returned a page with one post on it.  After a few hours of hacking through the php files I finally hit on it, and fixed the category pages while I was at it.  The only problem is that I uncovered a few more things that I need to do!  I also had a scare – all my Logical Media ads disappeared and it was blocking me from logging in!  It turns out that something corrupted my cookies, thank goodness.  I just deleted them and all was well.  Whew!

Found out why Google Adsense wasn’t working.  It was for awhile, but then all I got was public service ads.  It turns out that a file called robots.txt has a switch in it to tell Google not to work with your site.

The problem is, I didn’t have that text file ANYWHERE on my site.

So I created a robots.txt file that says Google isn’t blocked and uploaded it to all my root directories.  Hopefully they get the idea that it is okay for me to advertise for them!

Unfortunately, I figured this out right after their bot crawled and said BLOCKED.  So I will likely have to wait another week for the ads to show up again.  (UPDATE:  Less than 24 hours later and the ads are back.  I think someone is watching out for me!)

My magic touch is at work again today. I upgraded WordPress and now I can’t change the pretty picture up on the top of my blog. I have future plans for that picture spot but they aren’t really ready to go, yet. Oh well, Ayumi is beautiful to look at, eh?

It is amazing how noisy it gets during a normally quiet naptime when you try and record a podcast.

I have been busy with getting the new website and blog set up for two weeks, now.  Traffic seems to be picking up gradually.  I’ve gotten a better handle on the Twitter stuff, finally, so it didn’t take quite as long for me to grow followers this week.
